A man sits on the streets with broken shoes on his feet
He can't get no job, he's an ex-con, got caught on the beat
Next to him lies a dirty used syringe
Looking at him, you might think that you'd feel a tinge of sympathy
But no, instead wherever he goes
People look at him in disgust, and they turn up their nose
"Don't look at him honey" say the moms to their kids
And others hurry by, he's a taboo that society forbids
His lids droop, you'd think noone would want to stoop
Down to his level and pick him up, give him some food
And no one does, not the businessmen in their designer suits
They think of him as the part of society that pollutes
National economy denies his right to shelter inside
Under a roof, this is physical proof that the system abides
To the will of the rich, the upper class, the ones who wage wars
The ones who run the stores, sit at home and get bored
While their trophy wives sit and cry themselves to sleep
There ain't no love in a family when you've got money to reap
And the companies know it, they use it to their advantage
And the world governments screw us over and constantly mismanage
Our money, some of the most beautiful people are ugly
Corrupted by money, drowing in a bottle of bubbly
While the working class strive to live a bearable life
And the moral of this sad, pessimistic tale
Is that the world as we know it is going off the rails
And just look around and you will see just what I mean
Genocide, people dying because they've got no freedom

In the past I had a conversation with a woman who claimed to be a "White Witch." I walked away from the conversation very confused. She more or less told me that "The Craft" is a very complex thing, and that it takes years and years to actually understand the whole concept.

My question is.. Is there anyone on this forum who can explain what the difference is? What makes you a "White Witch" as opposed to a regular Witch? Is it that a white witch practices the craft for the good? Anyone with info please enlighten me????

He also mentions that the Anglo-Saxon word witega, a prophet or seer, comes from the Anglo-Saxon witan, to observe, which he says is 'cognate with witan, to know.'. We have seen that Lewis Spence regarded witega as the origin of wicca. So who is right? In spite of all claims, it seems to me that it remains a matter of opinion. One thing we do know is that the word came to Britain with the Saxons, who at the time of their arrival on these shores were pagans. I believe that to them, the word witch (or whichever of its forerunners they used), did not necessarily have any derogatory meaning. A witch was a seer, a knower, an averter of evil. The word only took on a negative meaning with the coming of Christianity, which taught that all the gods of the heathen were devils. So anyone who clung o the old ways and the Old Religion was a devil worshipper. And annually, around Halloween, we still see the same old charges being made in the same old spirit of bigotry. Isn't it sad that these good folk haven't learnt anything since the Dark Ages?

Historically a witch meant wise - someone who knew herbs and medicine.

We, in Europe, are responsible for the deaths of thousands of women on trumped up charges during the witchcraft trials. Its an absolute disgrace.

In modern terms a white witch is one who undertakes positive magic, as opposed to one who is involved in dark arts.

Dark Arts? Are you referring to people that like painting in dark colours? Blacks, dark blues, purples...

well put. I may not know alot on this particular subject but from what I understand about white witches or most commonly know as (Wiccans) is that a Wiccan is a human trying to become a witch. To the extend of my knowledge I understand that the wiccan's teachings are false. Thats about what I know.

Course I could be wrong.

I dont think I could help any further with this subject I was just saying what I know or have been told I can't really speak from my experince, course that would probably better eh? Anyway from what I know I dont think it is possible for humans to become white witches.

Well I did see a Wiccan in action on t.v. trying to excorise a demonic house.
but I dont believe everything I see on t.v. lol Anyways at the end of the program the wiccans ceremony to drive out the demonic spirit failed.

Anyways I dont have sufficent evidence to support my reasons on wiccans.

Isis...you said the same thing to me that the girl said to me."It's a complex thing"...I was just wondering if someone could explain it.???...You say it's more of a religion...so to be a white witch you would actually follow the "wiccan religion?"...

I also know that ...there are always going to be skeptical people with any religion or belief and I just think that whatever someone chooses for themselves is their right to do so...
