One time, a Florida man decided to go on a hunting trip deep into the Everglades. What he encountered there would knock him unconscious and leave him wondering what had happened. On March 12, 1965, James Flynn of East Fort Myers, Fla. headed deep into the swampy Everglades with his four hunting dogs. An experienced outdoorsman, he planned to spend several days there. On the night of March 14, his hunting dogs took after a deer in the wilderness. Flynn later heard what sounded like a gunshot so he started up his swamp buggy and took off in search of his dogs. One of the dogs came back and it accompanied Flynn on his search for the others, according to a Web site about the encounter. The next night, Flynn saw something weird slightly more than a mile away from his camp. He couldn't quite make out what it was but he could see that it was hovering an estimated 200 feet in the air above some cypress trees. After a while, it flew off toward the northeast. Then after some two to three minutes, it returned to the same place, and hovered again, this time for about five minutes. Then, the weird flying object took off toward the southwest at a high rate of speed. Soon, however, it returned to the same location again. By this time, Flynn was only about a quarter of a mile away from the unidentified flying object. It came down among some cypress trees. At first, Flynn thought that it might be some kind of helicopter. However, when he began to study it through a pair of binoculars he realized that he wasn't looking at a helicopter at all. He then suspected that it might be some kind of top-secret aircraft from Cape Canaveral, according to the Web site. Flynn would later describe the object as about 25 feet high, and twice that size in its diameter. The object's top had four tiers of 2-foot-square window-looking sections that gave off a yellowish glow. The whole thing was metallic looking and seemed to be made of 4-by-4 plates held together with rivets. Underneath the object, there was an orange-red glow. For a long time, Flynn just stood there, amazed by what he was seeing. He had heard of flying saucers and little green men from outer space but had never taken it seriously. Curious, he started to approach the hovering craft to get a better look. Suddenly, a pencil-thin blue light shot out from the craft hitting Flynn on the forehead right between the eyes. He later said he was unconscious before he hit the ground. When he finally regained consciousness, Flynn found himself partially blind, sluggish and suffering from a terrific headache. He also had a large, sore bruise on his forehead. The UFO was gone. By that time, it was Tuesday morning and the sun was shining. He gathered up his dogs and started up his swamp buggy. He somehow made his way back to East Fort Myers where he was rushed to a hospital for examination and treatment. Flynn was blinded in one eye and couldn't hear too well either. He also complained of numbness in his arms and hands following the strange encounter. Under careful observation and treatment by his family doctor, Flynn got better and soon the symptoms disappeared. On March 26, 1965, Flynn, his doctor and two others returned to the site in the Everglades. There, they found a burned circle some 72 feet across. The circle looked like it had been swept clean of leaves, twigs and limbs. The tops of eight cypress trees were severely burned. In October 1966, Flynn stated in an interview that the UFO was probably some secret aircraft of our government but he would like to be able to prove that. Thirty years later, he made a rare public appearance in Port Charlotte, Fla., where he said, "I'm waiting for the day someone turns up the truth about this thing. I hope I live that long." UFO researchers aren't so sure that what he encountered was a secret military craft. They suspect that it might have come from another world. Source |

I feel bad for these people that come forward and put themselves out there to be ridiculed. The government is never going to admit anything to anybody. They treat us like lab rats and keep us running in the little wheel while they conive and hide things. It really makes me mad that they can't just come forward and state the obvious. Something happened to that man and they will never take the blame for it. |
