I've recently started making my own forum skins, i've only made the three so far but i'm getting better with every one. Morgue Skin (in use) The first skin i've made, currently in use on my forum StirThatEchoes Skin (in use) My second skin, (banner also mine) made for a friends clan webpage Morgue.2 The latest skin, made today, (banner is also mine), it needs alil more work on it, but it's coming along well and depending on the results of a poll on my site it ay be used on there. |

The Morgue skin's background is a little too much. I suggest that you edit the image to make it just one big image and make it fixed on CSS, otherwise well done with the whole skin, pretty good for a first made skin. I kinda like it. I really like the colors you used for StirtheEchoes skin. One thing that you need to remember though is that when you are making the headers, it's always better to have the header more eye-catching than the sub-header. On this skin, your sub-header is darker thus overthrowing the header. If you could try exactly the same style for the header except making it darker than the sub-header and see how that goes. Also animated buttons can be distracting so I suggest that whenever you add animations in your forums as part of the skin, make it smaller. And again, the background can be changed to "Fixed". You did a really good job with the banner too, just maybe a light touch of brown or cream or whatever color combination you used on the skin. Like the banner you used for Morgue2 skin, that color combo would be perfect, I think. Overall, you did a really great job with those skins, Imago. My favorite is the StirthatEchoes skin. That was the best one for me. Keep playing around with different styles and with your graphics and you will be outdoing yourself before you even know it. :-) Well done, girl! |

Ok, one thing, how do you make it fixed? and actually, the morgue skin isn't my first one, thats a new one i made yesterday and put on.... lol i also made This yesterday..... |

Go to your CSS, usually in the first paragragh, find this and add or change the BOLD text:

Thankyou sooooo much hun!!!! thats helped me out alot! Thanks, it was just a quick little one, i need to make a new banner for my forum, but i've been lazy about getting to doing it. |
