Tattoo gone wrong: Stars and gripes forever?

Tattoo blunder upsets girl.
Teen claims she got way more than she asked for.

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - A Belgian teenager has told police how she emerged from a tattoo parlor with 56 stars over one side of her face, rather than the three she had asked for, prosecutors said on Tuesday.

"I said this part, the top, is ok, but not the rest," Kimberley Vlaeminck from the city of Kortrijk, 90 km (56 miles) northwest of Brussels, told Belgian broadcaster VRT.

The 18-year-old said she fell asleep during the procedure, and woke up in pain when her nose was being tattooed.

A spokesman for Kortrijk prosecutors' office said police were investigating after a complaint from the teenager.

The tattoo artist said Vlaeminck had agreed to 56 stars.

"She agreed, but when her father saw it, the trouble started," Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws quoted the man as saying.

Vlaeminck said she wanted to keep the tattoos on her forehead but would have the rest removed.

“This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, Love to complete your life.”

don't fall asleep while getting a tattoo
I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

That's what I keep telling them. I know sometimes it can be relaxing apparently but still. Consciousness is a must when people are onto any parts of your body.

Music could be a good pain killer, lol.

Damn, that's gonna be pretty difficult for her to prove unless she has witnesses.

The tattoo artist says the trouble started when the girls dad saw it. I wonder if this occured in the shop (meaning her dad was there), or if she only began to complain after getting home and her dad then seeing it.

If she didn't complain until she got home then it kind of hurts her case.

Honestly I don't see any tattoo artist doing that much extra work for shits and giggles. Not to mention that's their lively hood they aren't going to fuck up their rep for no reason I would put money on this being a well it's not as cool as it was in my head issue not a malice act. In all honesty a lot of this story sounds fishy like if you pass out most places would want to make sure you were ok not just go on about tattooing and the fact that the problems started when the dad saw it. I do not think she will win.
